Non-woven cloth, also known as non-woven fabric, is a thin sheet, fibrous web, or batt made by combining pure natural cotton and linen fibers arranged in a directional or random manner through friction, bonding, or a combination of these methods. Non-woven fabric materials have a unique porous structure, which is convenient for air permeability, formaldehyde-free, waterproof, moisture-proof, and can effectively regulate indoor air humidity. They have the advantages of sound insulation, breathability, flexibility, lightweight, non-flammability, easy decomposition, non-toxicity, non-irritation, rich colors, recyclability, and a natural and friendly feel.
Its fiber thread has a strong tensile strength, and when non-woven paper is completely burned, it only produces carbon dioxide and water, without producing toxic gases. It is a new environmentally friendly wallpaper that can be safely applied to various rooms in the home.
Wall Surface Treatment
The wall surface should be smooth, clean, dry, and uniformly colored, without gaps, unevenness, or defects. Before construction, the wall surface should be coated with base film (varnish).
Wallpaper Cutting
Arrange the wallpaper according to the flow number of the wallpaper, measure the height of the wall, and cut the wallpaper above and below the wall according to the height of the wall. Remember to cut one roll of wallpaper at a time to prevent quality problems.
Applying Wallpaper Adhesive
The adhesive for non-woven paper wallpaper must be evenly applied to the wall surface, with a thickness of about 2mm. Do not directly apply the adhesive to the back of the non-woven fabric, and do not soak it in water before pasting. Non-woven fabric is different from other wallpapers and requires a thicker and more concentrated adhesive, which reduces its fluidity.
Pasting Wallpaper
Paste the non-woven paper wallpaper according to the prearranged order.
Cutting the Wallpaper during Construction
For construction requiring side cutting, the specific method is to overlap the edges during construction. The amount of overlap depends on the pattern, usually about 3cm. Solid color non-woven fabric should be constructed using the method of positive and negative pasting. When ensuring that the patterns are aligned, use a ruler to press at the overlapping area and cut. Try to avoid cutting at the corners to prevent the wallpaper from peeling. When cutting, ensure that the cutter is sharp and free of burrs, and pay attention to the strength of the cut, to ensure that one cut is enough to separate the two sides, but also to avoid excessive damage to the wall surface.
Cleaning After Wallpaper Pasting
If there is dust on the surface after construction, use a soft brush to gently brush it, and do not use a wet towel to wipe it, which may cause contamination. Immediately wipe off any squeezed-out adhesive with a dry towel. Keep your hands clean during construction.
After the base coat of the base layer coating is dry, draw vertical lines as a standard to avoid incorrect positioning of the wallpaper during pasting.
After wallpapering, do not use hard scrapers or nylon brushes on the wallpaper. Instead, use a soft-bristle brush to gently scrape from top to bottom, smoothing the surface of the non-woven fabric, removing bubbles and wrinkles. Avoid scraping glue onto seams to prevent surface contamination. If glue is accidentally squeezed out, promptly wipe it clean with a dry towel. During construction, strive to keep your hands clean.
During construction, inspections should be conducted simultaneously. If any issues are identified, construction should be immediately halted. The root causes and solutions should be identified before resuming construction.
